Introduction of Pastores Bloodline

Introduction

Our history is one which you can cherish and appreciate. It is a beautiful story of our clan, the racial origin, and early culture, the struggles and achievements of our ancestors.

The materials used in the preparation of this book were taken from primary and secondary sources. As much as possible, the primary source-materials were utilized rather than those from secondary sources for the sake of greater veracity. “Original sources,” said the famed German historian, Leopold von Ranke, “are the wellsprings of genuine history.”

In writing this book, the author was guided by the following objectives: (1) Love of God; and (2) Love of Pastores Clan. He was prompted to write this history book by the cooperation and solidarity shown by the clan during the first Grand
Reunion of Pastores Clan last December 29, 1994 at Midsayap, Cotabato.

The inception of this history book will give leeway to Pastores Clan in tracing the Family Tree and keeping update with the increasing number of Pastores Blood.

However, this book will not be completely materialized without your support by sending contributions, comments, and rectifying some of the facts presented herein. For a fastest flow of communication, the author appoints the following family representatives: Aida Venusa-Vismanos, Amor Pastores, Delfa Pastores, Robert Manaois, Richard Domingo, and Erlmarie Pastores. They will help the author in gathering more historic data from their respective family.

Furthermore, it is with a hope and a prayer that the author presents this history of our clan to the rising Generations that will be the pillars of our clan. If these pages can awaken in their hearts to cherish and appreciate, his efforts and tribulations in writing this work shall be fully recompensed.

The author acknowledges his debt of gratitude to many fellow relatives and friends, without those kind assistance and encouragement, this historical work could not have been finished. He may not be able to reciprocate their kindness, but surely God will listen to his prayer to bless them.

On this particular occasion, the author greets them with the words of a popular song: “Good luck, good health, and God bless you.”
